Meet Our Executive Director

Our Board of Directors

Jason Rust, (an ordained minister and business professional) and wife Erica Stone (singer/songwriter) started The Raining Season after they successfully adopted their daughter Jayda, from Sierra Leone in December of 2004. It was through that experience that their eyes were opened to the devastating conditions thousands have faced since the end of SL’s brutal civil war.

They make their home just outside of Nashville TN.

Tina Schmidt, Executive Director of TRS, and also an adoptive mother to two children from Sierra Leone, first began her work in the country as a child Ambassador for Word Vision. She has spent the last year orchestrating the opening of our new Children’s Center know as the Covering. Pictured with her is her husband Paul Schmidt, investor and TRS board Member. They make their home in Sartell, MN.
