But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. John 4:14

In May, thanks to the generosity of our loyal supporters, a well was dug and dedicated at the center. Access to clean water in Sierra Leone is limited. Often times at the center there was no running water, let alone clean water. By digging a well on the property the children and staff now have access to CLEAN water! This is not only an opportunity to save money on the additional expense for clean drinking water, but it also moves The Raining Season one step closer to being self-sustainable.

The well is located on the side yard of the property, in the garden area. Freetown sits on a mountain made of granite. Because of this, it was not certain how deep they would need to dig to hopefully hit water. Thankfully, after only 65 feet they were able to access water for the well. In addition to clean drinking water, having access to water onsite makes day-to-day operations easier. Previously, water had to be fetched from a nearby stream. There is now easy access to water for cooking, laundry, cleaning, and bathing. This new addition to the property is certainly an answer to prayer for The Raining Season.

Once again, thank you to our generous supporters who give to make projects like these possible.
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
