With your commitment to monthly support, you will have the opportunity
to build a life long relationship with a child in great need.

COMMUNICATION
You will receive communication from your sponsored child that many include some or all of the following: letters, photos, school updates, and artwork.
In addition, we arrange for children to have monthly Skype visits with their sponsors. Skype is a free internet service that will allow you, the sponsor, to speak directly to your sponsored child via video-conference.
As a sponsor you also have the opportunity to travel to The Covering to spend time with your sponsored child!
WHAT DOES THE $45 COVER?
THE $45 COVERS NOURISHMENT, MEDICAL CARE, EDUCATION, CLOTHING AND OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS....
Nourishment: Our children receive 3 meals per day plus snacks and daily vitamins.
Medical Care: Our children have access to the highest quality medical care in Sierra Leone.
Education: Our children receive quality education and continue to score higher than most on all national testing.
Clothing and Other Personal Items: From school uniforms, play clothes, sunday best, and shoes, to all the other necessities, our children receive clothing and other items on a regular basis. Children grow like weeds and much of our sponsorship budget covers clothing needs for each child.
Staff and Safety: Our children find love, protection, and a family atmosphere, with the support of 60+ staff focused solely on their care.
**Every child in our care center is assigned multiple sponsors, which enables us to provide excellent care in the most difficult of conditions.
** Other expenses such as rent, building maintenance, transportation, etc... are covered through general giving at this time.
**We understand $45 per month can be difficult for some households, so we have made it possible to sponsor a child for as little as $10 a month. (All sponsors will receive at least a bi-annual newsletter update on their child.) To take advantage of a deeper relationship including monthly video-conferencing, a $45 minimum sponsorship is required.

Our vision through sponsorship is to promote a relationship between a sponsor and child that builds and generates bonds of trust. One that creates accountability and encourages children to put hope into each day.
One that gives them something to look forward to. One that gives them someone to count on. One that gives them something consistent. We hope to give the children sponsors that they can celebrate their achievements with.
