A New School Year at The Raining Season Preparatory School
A new school year is underway at The Raining Season Preparatory School, Junior Secondary School, and Rising Academy! Classes began on September 7, 2026, and we are excited to see our students return ready to learn, grow, and build friendships. This year marks the second year of our Junior Secondary School (JSS), an exciting milestone as we continue to expand educational opportunities for our children and the surrounding community. TRS completed minor updates throughout the building, including paving some floors and repairing school furniture, to help prepare the school for another year of learning.
The Raining Season Preparatory School
Our preparatory school continues to serve TRS children and families throughout the surrounding community. This year, 29 TRS children and 122 community students are enrolled in nursery school through grade six. We are grateful to open our school to the community, providing quality education at a reasonable tuition cost in a secure learning environment. This opportunity gives more children access to an education that can help shape their futures.
Junior Secondary School
Now in its second year, our Junior Secondary School continues to grow! This year, 13 TRS students and 22 community students are enrolled, bringing total JSS enrollment to 35 students. Pastor Sam Laggah, head of the school, shared that the administration is especially focused on improving the quality of learning this year. To support that goal, students now take tests every Friday and participate in inter-class debating competitions after lunch. These activities encourage students to strengthen their knowledge, think critically, and develop confidence in sharing their ideas. We are grateful to see the school continue to grow and to provide more students in the community with access to
quality, affordable education close to home.
Rising Academy
We are also grateful for the students continuing their education at Rising Academy, where our older students have the opportunity to pursue their education and prepare for the future in Senior Secondary School. 16 TRS students are enrolled this school year, and we look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the months ahead.
As we begin another academic year, we are thankful for the teachers, administrators, and supporters who make these educational opportunities possible. Every classroom, lesson, and new learning opportunity helps equip our children with the knowledge and skills they need to pursue their dreams.
Will you join us in praying for the new school year? Please pray for our students as they learn and grow, for our teachers and school administrators as they guide and encourage their students, and for a successful year filled with meaningful learning, growth, and opportunity.
Thank you for being part of the work happening at The Raining Season. Your prayers and support help make these opportunities possible!
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
