King’s Court Bible Church

In April of this year, our children and staff at The Covering in Sierra Leone received an unexpected blessing. A group visiting from King's Court Bible Church in Columbus, Ohio, came to our center, arms full of rice and other food supplies. Their gift of rice provided nearly a month's supply for our children and caregivers.

What made this connection even more special is that one of the pastors at King's Court Bible Church is originally from Sierra Leone. When he brought a team from their church to visit Sierra Leone, The Raining Season was one of the child care centers they visited. At the time, they knew TRS only as a center in Sierra Leone, and they were unaware of the U.S. side of our organization. That all changed in July.

On July 6th, our Lori Pyle, Executive Director, had the privilege of visiting King's Court Bible Church in Columbus. She was warmly welcomed by the pastoral staff before the service, and during the service, she was invited to share about The Raining Season and express gratitude for their generosity. As she spoke, they shared a photo of the team's visit to our center.

After the service, the staff shared their desire to continue their relationship with The Raining Season. They asked for prayer and, in turn, encouraged our director and the work God is doing through TRS. The very next day, they reached out again with gratitude for the visit.

For Lori, walking into King's Court Bible Church's service felt familiar, almost like being back in worship at The Covering. The visit was a highlight for Lori and a reminder that God weaves connections across oceans and cultures.

We are deeply grateful for King's Court Bible Church, for their generosity, and for the new connection God has built between our TRS family in Sierra Leone and this faith community in Ohio.  Thank you for your hearts for our children and staff.

Many blessings,

The Raining Season
