Celebrating Easter at TRS

Easter is a season of joy, renewal, and hope. At The Raining Season, we see the spirit of Easter reflected in the resilience of the children we serve.  Despite the challenges they face, these children are full of hope and determination. We witness hope blooming even in the face of hardship and renewal as the children put their faith in Jesus.

This week, our children are walking through Holy Week with Pastor William in preparation for Easter Sunday.  We are grateful for a staff that pours into our children, teaching them about Jesus.  Each day this week, they are spending time in devotion studying and learning about Jesus’ prayer in the garden of Gethsemane, the arrest and denial of Jesus, Jesus standing trial before the Sanhedrin, when Jesus stood trial before Pilate and Herod, and finally, examining the death of Jesus.

Pastor William shared this message for The Raining Season family as we prepare to celebrate Easter and as some of our children continue to prepare for baptism:

“Easter is unique with a significant feature that any other religion or its leader can offer mankind. As Easter marks the great work Christ had done on the cross and in the grave. Easter should be celebrated for Christ’s victory over death as death lost its sting, and He reigns over all. He proves He was the son of God — the true Messiah.  Moreover, the baptismal exercise to be conducted will resonate well with the Easter messages about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To commit in the sharing of His suffering, crucifixion, death, burial, and His resurrection power over all by baptizing as a public profession of faith. They be united in Christ, their union into the body of Christ as believers. One in body, one in hope and doctrine.”

As we approach Easter Sunday, we do so with hearts full of hope—knowing that the story doesn’t end at the cross. We look ahead to the resurrection, the empty tomb, and the victory that gives life to us all.  Wishing you a joyous Easter!
