Fennella’s Birthday Visit to The Covering

In mid-August, we were honored to welcome a special visitor to The Covering. Fennella, a Sierra Leonean American, was visiting Sierra Leone and chose to mark her birthday by celebrating with the children and staff of The Raining Season.

Fennella is a model, blogger, and creative entrepreneur, but on this day, she also shared her heart for loving and serving others. She chose to share her joy with us by bringing lunch for everyone to enjoy together.

Her arrival was met with warmth and laughter, as well as singing and dancing. The children gave her the welcome that makes The Covering so special.  It was full of gratitude, energy, and love.

What meant the most was not just the food she shared, but the heart behind her visit. Birthdays are a time to be celebrated, and Fennella chose to use hers as an opportunity to give back to children in the country of her roots. It was a beautiful reflection of the kind of family spirit we strive to live out every day at The Raining Season.

We are so grateful for Fennella’s kindness and generosity, and we pray blessings over her as she continues to inspire others through her creativity and compassion. Thank you, Fennella, for making your birthday a gift to us all.
