Meet 5 Children Waiting for a Sponsor

At The Raining Season, we believe that every child deserves a safe place to live, access to education, proper medical care, spiritual guidance, and nutritious meals. These are our five pillars and the foundation of everything we do at The Raining Season.

Today, we want to introduce you to five children who remind us every day why these pillars matter. Each one represents a part of our mission, and each one is waiting for someone to answer the call to sponsor them.

Nutrition: Meet Josephine

Josephine is the newest child at The Covering. When she first arrived last week, she was shy and quiet.  With three meals a day, she is already starting to shine. Nutrition is key to helping children grow strong and feel secure in their new home.

Safety: Meet Tamba

Tamba and his four siblings came to The Covering in March, and he is still waiting for his first sponsor.  Before coming to The Covering, safety was not guaranteed for him. Today, Tamba sleeps in a warm bed and knows that he is loved and protected. Safety is more than a roof over his head.  It is the chance to dream about his future without fear.

Education: Meet Finda

Finda is a young, curious student. She recently started nursery school at The Raining Season Preparatory School. Education will open doors for Finda.  We know that investing in a child’s learning can change the course of their future, and Finda will have that opportunity from a very young age.

Medical: Meet Amie

Amie is Finda’s twin sister.  We were recently able to tell her about her first sponsor!  However, it takes multiple sponsors to meet all of the children's needs. We are grateful that she is healthy, but the medical care she receives at The Covering helps her to thrive. Our medical pillar ensures that children like Amie get the treatment, vitamins, medicine, and ongoing care they need to live healthy lives.

Spiritual: Meet Alfred

Alfred has a gentle heart and enjoys listening to Bible stories.  Many children learn about Jesus for the first time when they come to TRS.  Spiritual care is a vital part of our mission, reminding children that they are valued, loved, and created with purpose.

Each of these children represents the heart of our mission. Sponsorship makes this life-changing work possible, providing not just food or school fees, but hope and stability for the future.
