Have you ever Skyped with your sponsored child and they told you they were preparing for their exams or they have just finished their exams? Throughout the school year, our kids take multiple exams, and it can be a little confusing. However, the most important exams occur at the end of the school year.
In early May, four children from TRS and six from the community attending The Raining Season Primary School took the National Primary School Examination (NPSE). This test determines not only their promotion to the next grade level but also their eligibility for Junior Secondary School. Earlier this month, they received their results, and we are excited to share that all ten children passed the exam! This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the children, our teachers, staff, and your unwavering support. All ten children will promote to Junior Secondary School. The four children from TRS, John, Alhaji, Mariama, and Shadrach will attend Rising Academy this fall.
After opening its doors to the community in 2022, The Raining Season continues to work on developing our school so that the children who attend will pursue academic excellence and perform well on national exams, setting them up for education excellence in secondary and beyond. Our staff and teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure both children from The Covering and children from the community receive a top-notch education that compares to the best schools in Sierra Leone.
Soon, a new school year will begin in Sierra Leone, and our kids and teachers are excited for the upcoming school year. Until then, our children continue to enjoy their break, taking time to read, play, and even watch movies.
