On Sunday, March 22, 2026, The Raining Season Preparatory School held its third annual Thanksgiving Service. This special day is a tradition that continues to unite students, staff, families, and the surrounding community in a shared spirit of gratitude. The Thanksgiving Service is an opportunity to pause and give thanks to God for His faithfulness and the many blessings poured out over the school throughout the year. From academic growth to deepening relationships, the celebration reflects a community that recognizes God’s hand in every step of the journey.

The day began in the school hall that was thoughtfully prepared and decorated to reflect the significance of the occasion. The service opened with a welcome from our education coordinator, Pastor Sam Laggah, who shared encouraging words about the importance of giving thanks and reflecting on the many ways The Raining Season Preparatory School community has flourished over the past year.

One of the highlights of the service was a special performance by the school choir. Their hymns filled the hall with praise. The music reinforced the theme of thanksgiving and gratitude while creating a moment of worship and unity.

Following the indoor service, the celebration continued beyond the school walls and into the surrounding community. Students took part in a street procession that included a marching band! Dressed proudly in their uniforms and carrying banners that reflected the school’s values and achievements, the students marched together with energy and enthusiasm through the streets.

As the students moved through the streets, they engaged with local residents, sharing smiles, greetings, and invitations to join in the celebration. It was a reminder that The Raining Season is not only a school, but a vital part of a larger community. The school community is built on connection, service, and shared hope.
The day concluded back at the school compound, bringing to a close a celebration filled with joy, reflection, and togetherness. This year’s Thanksgiving Service was a reminder of the values that define The Raining Season Preparatory School and a reminder to give thanks not only for achievements, but also for the people, partnerships, and support systems that make growth possible.

As we look ahead, the students and staff do so with hopeful hearts and gratitude for all that God has done and what He will do for The Raining Season Preparatory School. It was truly a day to remember, and the children and staff are already looking forward to celebrating again next year. We are so thankful for The Raining Season Preparatory School and its impact not only on our children but also on so many children in the community. We are grateful to serve more than one hundred children from the community.
Please join us in praying for our students, their families, and the community members who attended the Thanksgiving Service. We give thanks for all that the Lord is doing for these students. We are praying for them as they finish the school year and complete their end-of-year exams. We are incredibly proud of the teachers and students for their dedication and hard work throughout the school year.
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
