On your mark, get set, go! In mid-April, some of the older children, who attend school outside of the center, had the opportunity to participate in a field day at school. If you sponsor an older child, they may have been talking about this event for weeks! They look forward to this event every year. The kids had the opportunity to choose events to participate in. Some ran races, while others participated in the three-legged race. There were also some competitive rounds of tug-of-war, or as they call it, tug-of-peace.
The kids had a great time participating in this special day. As you can imagine, any opportunity to step away from everyday activities and get out of the classroom will be celebrated. Exams will be coming up soon and the kids will be busy studying in preparation. This event gave them a chance to escape the regular school day and have fun competing and cheering on their friends. Field day is such a fun event that there just might be one in the works for ALL of the kids at the center. Of course, we will keep you posted.
