10 years! In 10 years, we have experienced joy, heartache, and everything in between. Through all of the ups and downs, we think that ten years of The Raining Season is a big deal, so we wanted to celebrate. On August 24th, after months of planning, we did just that. We wish that everyone could have been there, but since you couldn’t, we took lots of pictures to share with you. There was delicious food, live music, face painting, and even an artist to draw our caricatures. It is no surprise that there was also a soccer game. Is it even a Raining Season event if there is not a soccer game?
We couldn’t celebrate a milestone this big in just one day! On Sunday, we hosted a brunch in Franklin, Tennessee, for families who have adopted from our center. We love seeing these kids and watching their stories unfold. Every single one of them is special. Along with each child that has ever been in our care, they are the reason why we say yes again and again. They are the next generation, and they are going to change the world.
A huge THANK YOU to Tiffany Lancaster, Alexis Nuismer, Francis Pyle, and Matt Harding for their time spent planning and organizing this event. Another THANK YOU to Megan Garrett and Sheri Barnett for stepping in and helping throughout the planning process and the day of. THANK YOU to those who traveled from near and far to celebrate with us. Finally, THANK YOU to all of YOU, our financial supporters, cheerleaders, prayer warriors, sponsors, travelers...the list could go on and on. We look forward to serving alongside you in the next ten years.
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
