27 Stories of Hope Begin Here

Last week, we shared our vision of funding 27 sponsorships for one year by Orphan Sunday.  This is a goal that represents 27 children whose lives will be changed through consistent care, nourishment, and love. We are so encouraged to already see God’s provision at work. In just one week, $1,620 in pledged sponsorships have come in for the year ahead! Each commitment brings us one step closer to meeting the needs of every child in our care.

This week, we want to show you what that impact looks like in real life through the stories of Amie and Fatu.

Amie & Fatu’s Story

When Amie and Fatu arrived at The Covering in July, they were just one month old. Malnourished and fragile, their tiny bodies bore the signs of deep need. But the Lord was already working. Within days of their arrival, several sponsors stepped forward, responding quickly and generously to help meet their needs.

Because of that immediate response, Amie and Fatu began receiving the formula their growing bodies needed and regular medical care to monitor their development. They are receiving round-the-clock care and support.  Today, at four months old, they are growing, alert, and thriving. They are deeply loved by our amazing caregivers and by all the children at The Covering.

It’s a beautiful picture of what happens when the body of Christ acts swiftly in love. God provided through sponsors.  The Lord continued to stir in hearts, and these sweet girls are nearly fully sponsored. We are reminded that He knows our needs and meets them, sometimes before we can even speak them aloud.

Welcoming Lucy

Last month, we welcomed Lucy, the newest child placed at The Raining Season. Like Amie and Fatu when they first came to The Covering, Lucy’s world had been turned upside down. She is safe now, but adjusting to a new home, new faces, and a new routine can be both scary and uncertain.

Smiles and trust take time. Each day, Lucy grows a little more comfortable in her new surroundings. She is beginning to experience the consistent love and care of our aunties, and she is learning that she is safe. But like every child at The Covering, Lucy’s care depends on faithful sponsors. She is currently in need of sponsors to help provide the nutrition, medical care, and stability she will need to thrive.

Every Sponsorship Matters

Your sponsorship isn’t just a donation. It is a direct investment in a child’s life and future. When you step into a sponsorship role, you help write a new story of hope. You help little ones like Amie, Fatu, and Lucy know what it means to be seen, known, and loved.

As we continue our journey toward raising $14,580 to impact 27 sponsorships by Orphan Sunday, we celebrate the progress made so far and look forward to the transformation yet to come.
