The Raining Season

A Look Back...

We have come a long way in fourteen years. There have been incredible highs, lessons learned, and mountains moved. We have experienced joy, heartache, and everything in between. Since we first opened our doors in 2009, we have watched as our small orphan care center grew and served hundreds of vulnerable children. We have called three buildings home and watched children grow and thrive under our roof. We have celebrated birthdays, baptisms, and Christmases and sheltered through both Ebola and COVID-19. In 2018 we named our first Sierra Leonean in-country Director and opened the doors to our very first Roots home.

Join us today as we share some pictures from years past. Sometimes looking back at where we started allows us to celebrate where we are and continue to grow our vision of what is to come. It takes a village, and we are thankful for you, our prayer warriors, sponsors, financial supporters, cheerleaders, travelers, and so much more.

Thank you for your unwavering support. Because of your support, The Raining Season is able to offer a safe place to live, opportunity through education, nutritious food, essential medical care, and spiritual nurturing every day. We are grateful for the sacrifices you have made to continue sponsoring, supporting our staff and kids, and for your continued prayers. We are looking forward to the future of The Raining Season, what lies ahead, and the impact The Raining Season will continue to have in Sierra Leone.

Many blessings,

The Raining Season
