Hello TRS Sponsors and Friends,
As we come to the close of 2025, I want to pause and thank you for the incredible impact your sponsorship has made this year. Your generosity continues to change lives every single day in Sierra Leone, and it is a privilege to partner with you in this mission.
This year brought important reflection and meaningful growth for The Raining Season. Through your support, our center in Freetown has continued to be a safe, joyful, and nurturing home for over 85 children. Our kids are thriving- their laughter fills the halls, their test scores show their hard work, and their joy continually reminds us why this mission matters so deeply.
Together, we launched several key fundraising initiatives throughout the year, each one strengthening the foundation needed to care for our children and sustain the ministry. Whether you participated in our campaigns, shared TRS with others, or faithfully gave each month, you played a vital role in helping us meet essential needs such as food, medical care, education, and staffing. Your commitment keeps the heart of TRS beating strong.
In November, I traveled to Sierra Leone to move our long-awaited Kono project forward. This land represents a vision for long-term sustainability. A place where we can expand, grow, and build a self-sustaining future for our children and the ministry. During my visit, we met with leaders, walked our land, and assessed next steps. Please continue to pray with us that God will open the doors necessary for this “Dream Center” to come to fruition.
This year, I also spent time meeting with churches and creating new fundraising and advocacy groups here in the United States. Speaking with congregations, community partners, and individuals reminded me that TRS’s story continues to move hearts. More people are learning about the orphan crisis in Sierra Leone and stepping into the story with us.
As we enter into a new year, we are excited about what God is doing in and through TRS. Your continued sponsorship ensures we can maintain the high-quality care our children rely on while building the future that lies ahead in Kono.
