A Special Gift for Our Aunties
Blessing the staff at The Raining Season is one small way we can say, “Thank you.” Our staff gives so much of themselves to the children every day. They show up with patience, compassion, and love, often making sacrifices behind the scenes that others may never see.
Over the years, we have been able to bless our staff in different ways, from rice donations for their families and monetary bonuses to encouraging notes and other small gifts. These gestures may seem simple, but they do not go unnoticed. They remind our staff that people supporting The Raining Season from afar love, appreciate, and remember them.
During the June team’s time in Sierra Leone, they had another opportunity to celebrate our amazing aunties with a little jewelry! The jewelry was laid out, and each aunty was invited to choose a piece for herself. They were so excited to look through the different options and find something they loved. They tried on their jewelry, modeled it for one another, laughed together, and complimented each other.
It was a simple moment, but it was filled with so much joy. It was a chance to pause and celebrate the women who pour so much love into the children of The Raining Season.
To all of our incredible staff and aunties, THANK YOU! Thank you for your dedication, your patience, your sacrifices, and, most of all, for the love you show the children each day. The work you do matters, and we are so grateful for each of you.
