It’s Giving Tuesday! We are thankful for our village that shows up not only on Giving Tuesday but all through the year. We are forever grateful that there is a long list of supporters ready to jump in and support our children when a need arises. Any amount given makes a BIG impact. We know that there are many charities where you can share your money, so we are VERY thankful for the many people who support us financially throughout the year, helping us continue our mission in Sierra Leone.
With only a few weeks left in the year and the holidays quickly approaching, we are taking time on this Giving Tuesday to reflect on the faithfulness of the Lord this past year. A building campaign that raised $55,000 for our rent in the coming year, a meet the need campaign that raised the money to provide Joshua with a needed medication for an entire year, and sponsors that gave to the Christmas fund for a special Christmas celebration for our kids and staff are only a few ways that your financial support has impacted the children at The Raining Season this year.
There are many ways you can support The Raining Season on Giving Tuesday and throughout the holiday season. You can make a 100% tax-deductible donation to The Raining Season. The Raining Season can also help you with your holiday shopping. In 2021 we launched The Cotton Tree Collection. You can also give the gift of sponsorship this Christmas season. Finally, as you shop, don’t forget to consider using AmazonSmile and Shop and Support. Both give a percentage of your purchase back to The Raining Season at no additional cost to you.
As we close out 2021, we will once again be emailing 2021 tax statements to all individuals who have donated more than $250 this year. For donations under $250, a tax statement will be shared upon request. If you need to update your email address, please email donations@therainingseason.org. Please note, this is for our accounting and separate from the weekly emails you receive. Donations postmarked or completed online by December 31, 2021, will be included in 2021 giving statements.
As we reflect on 2021 and the wonderful things happening at The Raining Season, we are grateful for the many ways that the Lord has provided this year. Your financial support ensures that our children have access to clean water, a bed to sleep in, food in their bellies, access to education, and an incredible staff to love and disciple them.
