Staff Feature – Meet Cyril John

At The Raining Season, our in-country team truly brings our mission to life. Day in and day out, they give their time, compassion, and dedication to care for and serve each child in every possible way. Today, we are honored to introduce you to one of those incredible team members, Cyril John.

Cyril John has faithfully served with The Raining Season as a groundskeeper since February 1, 2015. For more than a decade, he has played an essential role in maintaining The Covering, ensuring that the office spaces, surrounding grounds, and entire compound are clean, orderly, and welcoming each day.  Outside of his work at The Raining Season, Cyril is married, and together they are raising four children, three girls and one boy.

Cyril shared that he considers his work with The Raining Season both a privilege and a blessing. Cyril finds great purpose in serving children who have faced difficult circumstances, knowing that TRS is helping them build brighter futures and pursue their dreams. Being part of that mission is something he truly cherishes. Looking ahead, Cyril hopes to see The Raining Season continue to grow and expand its reach, impacting even more children across the country, including those in more remote areas who need support and opportunity.

Cyril shared these words, “I just want to thank the international office and all sponsors for their relentless efforts in ensuring that these kids have a taste of a better life. I also want to say kudos to the national office and its administrators for a job well done, especially to the country director for his leadership, and finally to all the staff of TRS. Thank you all, and let’s keep the ball rolling. God has been our helper!”
