TRS Preparatory School's First Thanksgiving

The Raining Season Preparatory School organized its first-ever Thanksgiving Service on March 24th.  Thanksgiving services are observed annually throughout schools in Sierra Leone, and in its second year of being open to the community, The Raining Season wanted to observe its own Thanksgiving service.  This Thanksgiving service was an opportunity to give thanks for all that the Lord has done and what He will do for The Raining Season Preparatory School.

The Raining Season

Both current and former students of The Raining Season Preparatory School attended this special event.  It included a special message from Pastor William, and our kids had the opportunity to participate by singing and sharing.  Prior to the event, the students learned two new songs, Onward Christian Soldiers and On Higher Ground, to be included in the day.

The Thanksgiving service ended with a march from the school compound to the main Lumley roundabout and back to the school.  This march included a special marching band that joined them for the event.  Not only was this service an opportunity to showcase the school to the community, but it also attracted many people from the Lumley community.

The Raining Season

We are so grateful for The Raining Season Preparatory School and its impact not only on our children but also on so many children in the community.  Join us in not only giving thanks for all that the Lord is doing for these students but also in praying for them as they finish the school year and complete their end of year exams.  We are incredibly proud of the teachers and students for their dedication and hard work throughout the school year.

Many blessings,

The Raining Season
