In the weeks surrounding our James 1:27 Sponsorship Drive, our Executive Director, Lori Pyle, had the joy of visiting several church partners in Nebraska. Each one is a meaningful part of our story and our mission. These visits were a reminder of the faithful communities who continue to stand with The Raining Season and the vulnerable children we serve in Sierra Leone.
A Celebration at Trinity Church in Papillion, Nebraska
Just before the launch of our sponsorship drive, Lori visited Trinity Church in Papillion, a longtime supporter and partner of TRS. Trinity has walked with us for many years, faithfully praying, supporting, and believing in the mission to protect, empower, and restore vulnerable children.

Following the Sunday service, the congregation gathered for a special celebration, including a cake to honor 16 years of The Raining Season. It was a meaningful moment to reflect on all God has done through this ministry and to celebrate the impact that faithful partners like Trinity Church have helped make possible. Their encouragement and continued commitment are so important.
Orphan Sunday Visits to Ashland and Cedar Hill Methodist Churches
On Orphan Sunday, Lori traveled again, this time to Ashland Methodist Church and Cedar Hill Methodist Church near Greenwood, Nebraska. At both services, she shared the heart of The Raining Season, our mission in Sierra Leone, and the life-changing impact of child sponsorship.

Lori had the opportunity to share about the care provided each day through nutrition, safety, medical support, education, and spiritual growth, and to invite individuals and families to consider joining our mission through sponsorship.

We are so grateful to the Ashland Methodist Church and Cedar Hill Methodist Church for their willingness to open their doors on such a significant Sunday to spotlight the needs of vulnerable children around the world.
Thank You for Your Partnership
The Raining Season would not be where it is today without the faithfulness of church communities like these. Their prayers, encouragement, and generosity have sustained the mission for years and continue to help us move forward with strength and hope.
To Trinity Church, Ashland Methodist Church, and Cedar Hill Methodist Church, thank you. Thank you for welcoming us, for celebrating with us, and for believing in what God is doing through TRS. Your partnership is a blessing, and we are honored to continue this journey together.
As our James 1:27 Sponsorship Drive continues through the end of the year, we remain grateful for every church, family, and individual who walks beside us. Together, we are changing stories one child at a time.
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
