Our kids are the reason we show up every day, but as we’ve shared before, it is our staff that truly makes The Raining Season a home. We celebrate our kids and their accomplishments as they pass exams, complete internships, promote to new grade levels, and enter University. We also look forward to sharing about our staff as they celebrate weddings, complete degrees, and welcome new babies. This week we are celebrating Pastor Sam Laggah’s educational accomplishment as last week, he graduated with his Master’s in Business Administration specializing in procurement.
Pastor Sam serves as The Raining Season’s Educational Coordinator and Logistics Officer. He joined our staff in 2018. His educational background makes him a unique asset to The Raining Season. Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from The Evangelical College of Theology-Jui. Additionally, in 2021, he completed his Master of Philosophy and Religious Studies degree and a Diploma in Procurement from the University of Sierra Leone. Over the past two years, he has been working toward completing his most recent degree in business administration from the University of Sierra Leone.
Over the past year, Sam has played a vital role in the growth and development of The Raining Season’s education program. In September, the center expanded its primary school to serve the surrounding Freetown community. Because of his hard work and dedication, our primary school is serving nearly ninety children. He joins our staff with the vision to ensure that children are able to receive a quality education at an affordable cost.
Sam is intelligent and hardworking. He is dedicated to serving our kids and our organization. Sam made many sacrifices to complete this degree, and it wasn’t always easy, but he persisted and achieved this goal. Pastor Sam, thank you for being a positive role model to the children you work with each day. We are proud of you and look forward to the impact that you will continue to have at our center.
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
