Meet Zainab. Zainab and three of her siblings came to The Raining Season in 2012. She is seventeen years old. The Covering is the only home Zainab has known since she came to TRS.
However, Zainab’s story would have looked very different if not for The Raining Season. When Zainab came to TRS in 2012, she did not know who Jesus was. Today, Zainab’s favorite story to tell is how she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was introduced to Him for the first time by Pastor Daniel, her aunties, and uncles. Now, she has a promise of eternal life and joy in her soul. Zainab shared, “I thank God for my life and Pastor Daniel, who is a teacher to us. Now I have changed. I am a new creation, and I will always praise God until my last breath.”
Pastor Daniel and the rest of the staff at The Raining Season pour into our children day in and day out. They share Jesus and the Gospel with them. They disciple and encourage them while showing them the transformational power of Jesus. Lives have truly been transformed by Pastor Daniel and the staff as new believers put their hope in Jesus. These transformations are a true testament to the healing power of Jesus and the work that Pastor Daniel and the TRS staff are doing.
Zainab’s is only one story. There are many more stories like hers because of The Raining Season and our faithful sponsors. We would not be able to fulfill our mission without your support. Zainab may be an orphan on this earth, but she has been adopted as a child of God.
Join us in praying for our children this week. We pray that their faith in Jesus will continue to grow as they live and walk with Christ. We pray for continued healing in their lives through the power of Jesus. Lastly, we pray that through their faith, they will disciple others, leading them to know Jesus.
