Sponsorship is the heart and soul of The Raining Season. Our unique sponsorship model fosters the relationship between our children and their sponsors. The Raining Season's goal is to be 100% funded through sponsorship. Currently, only four children at The Covering are fully sponsored, meaning they have ten sponsors, each giving $45 per month. This money covers all of the child's basic needs and all of the care provided by TRS. We are beyond grateful for every single sponsor, and we would not be where we are without them. These sponsors show up financially, through prayer, and many on monthly Skype calls.
Meet Kaday. This week, Kaday is our latest child to be recognized in our ongoing How it Started - How it's Going feature.
How it Started - Meet Kaday. Kaday has called The Raining Season home for nearly ten years. Kaday was born on July 10, 2006. She came to The Raining Season when she was just six years old. Life for Kaday was not easy before she came to TRS. Kaday was able to come to The Raining Season after a team met her while doing community outreach.
How it's Going - Today, Kaday is 15 years old. She is quiet but respectful and caring. She is doing very well in school because school is very important to Kaday. Last year, Kaday promoted to grade 8. She not only loves learning, but she also enjoys seeing her friends at school. Her faith is very important to her, and because Kaday is at The Raining Season, she is discipled every day. She tells us she enjoys praying, specifically for her sponsors. Kaday also enjoys reading.
We are so grateful to see Kaday thriving. She is growing into a beautiful young lady. Because of people like you, Kaday can look forward to a bright future. Because of The Raining Season, Kaday has a safe place to call home. She is cared for and discipled every day. She attends school, has a comfortable bed to sleep in, and receives three meals a day. When she is sick, she receives medical care. Most importantly, Kaday knows that she is loved.
Kaday has been able to call The Raining Season home for ten years, thanks to an outstanding staff and the many sponsors that support her each month.
