👋🏼 Meet Kadiatu Kamara

We recently asked for your input on social media for our next staff feature, and one request was to feature one of our teachers. We are very fortunate to have a school on site that many of our younger children attend. Our teachers are dedicated to our children and fostering their learning. They provide a quality education that enables our children to score higher than most on all national testing.

Meet Kadiatu Kamara. Auntie Kadiatu has been a part of The Raining Season teaching staff for nine years. She and her husband have two biological and two adopted children. Kadiatu graduated with a Higher Teacher's Certificate from Milton Margai College of Education and Technology. Kadiatu serves as the classroom teacher of Prep 1. As a teacher, Kadiatu shared, "My duties as a teacher are to impact knowledge and to improve on the moral activities of the kids." As a longtime member of our staff, Kadiatu enjoys working for The Raining Season because of the strong relationships between the staff and TRS leadership. She enjoys not only the work she does but also the work environment.

As The Raining Season looks ahead to the future, Kadiatu joins us in our vision to continue to grow, purchase our own land, and one day build a center that allows us to continue to meet our children's needs and continue to serve others in Sierra Leone. She envisions our very own land that includes not only housing for our children but a school, a hospital, and recreational facilities. She believes there is an opportunity to make an even bigger impact in Sierra Leone by serving more children in the community through the school and also expanding the number of children TRS is able to care for. She sees sponsorship playing an essential role in this as well as finding ways to fundraise within Sierra Leone to support The Raining Season.

Thank you, Auntie Kadiatu, for being a part of The Raining Season community. You are dedicated, kind, and hardworking. Your dedication to The Raining Season and our children's education is helping to prepare them to become future leaders of Sierra Leone. We appreciate you!

Join us in continuing to pray for our staff. We pray for their impact on our children - that they would inspire learning and a thirst for knowledge. We also pray for our children as they continue to prepare for their exams.

Many blessings,

The Raining Season
