The Raining Season

Thanksgiving

As we enter into Thanksgiving and the holiday season, we want to express our gratitude and thankfulness. Thankful only begins to describe how we feel. The Lord continues to provide and bless The Raining Season in ways bigger than we could ever imagine. God has always been so gracious to fulfill our needs.

This year, we have seen sponsorship grow and announced that we secured more than one hundred acres of land in Kono to begin building our dream center. We have welcomed new children to our center and continued to support the children who call The Raining Season home. This past year, we shared the news that eight young adults were accepted to University. Now, six more have passed their exams and are finishing applications, hoping to begin classes as well. In September, we welcomed our first full team since before the pandemic, and we are looking forward to welcoming more teams next year. Then, in October, your support provided new mattresses for every child at our center through our Meet the Need Campaign.

We are grateful for the many sacrifices you make to support The Raining Season financially. In 2023, you have supported The Raining Season through our Meet the Need campaign, our upcoming Christmas celebration, education and medical needs, sponsorship, and The Roots Project, to name a few. We are thankful for your prayers and encouragement that you share with our children through Skype and writing letters. Because of your unwavering support, our kids have a safe place to live, essential medical care, nutritious food, opportunity through education, and spiritual nurturing every day.

The Lord has provided us with a circle of incredible supporters who walk alongside us, not only through the triumphs but also the challenges. We are grateful for how you help us fulfill our mission, whether through prayer, financial support, sponsorship, travel, or sharing our story with others. We thank God for all He has done for The Raining Season, and we will continue to share how he is working in Sierra Leone through The Raining Season.

From The Raining Season to your family – Happy Thanksgiving!

Many blessings,

The Raining Season
