The Battle Belongs to the Lord

Throughout the past five and a half months, our staff has gone above and beyond.  Many staff members took extended time away from their own families to care for and serve our children.  Today, we have a message from Sam Laggah to share with you.  Sam Laggah is not only a logistics officer for The Raining Season, but he is also a pastor. He recently posted this update on Facebook, and it was too good not to share with all of you.

From Pastor Sam Laggah:

THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD

In a COVID-19 world, our true and lasting hope is in the God of our Salvation. He is the God who fights for His people and His Church. He can bring victory. He can stop the Coronavirus and turn around the global economy with just a word. But, He is also doing something greater than we can imagine in such a time as this, and we wait for Him to fulfill all that He intends to do in this season.

Take heart, my brothers and sisters, 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”

God himself will strengthen you in this battle.

And when you don’t know what to do, you can pray like Jehosaphat in 2 Chronicles 20:12: “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

That is my prayer for you, brothers and sisters: May God see you and strengthen you. May God fight for you. May you turn your eyes on Him when you don’t know what to do, and may you remember that the battle is the Lord’s.

From Rev. Sam Bendu Laggah

Uncle Sam, thank you for pouring into our kids, our staff, and your community.  Thank you for your wisdom and encouragement.  We serve a powerful God, and we find victory in Him.

Many blessings,
