TRS Preparatory School’s Annual Thanksgiving Service

The Raining Season Preparatory School organized its second annual Thanksgiving Service on March 23rd.  Thanksgiving services are observed annually throughout schools in Sierra Leone.  In its second year of being open to the community, The Raining Season wanted to begin observing this tradition with its own Thanksgiving service.  This year’s Thanksgiving service was an opportunity to give thanks for all that the Lord has done and what He will do for The Raining Season Preparatory School.

Students of The Raining Season Preparatory School, along with their families and other special guests, attended this special event.  The service included singing hymns and songs of praise along with dancing.  The special songs were an opportunity to show gratitude to God for all He has done.

The Thanksgiving service ended with a march from the school compound to the main Lumley roundabout and back to the school.  The march was an opportunity to showcase the school to the community and attracted many people from the Lumley community.

We are so thankful for The Raining Season Preparatory School and its impact not only on our children but also on so many children in the community.  We are grateful to serve more than one hundred children from the community.   We are able to celebrate and give thanks because you answered the call to support The Raining Season, and for that, we thank you!

Please join us in praying for our students, their families, and the community members who attended the Thanksgiving service.  We especially pray for those who may have heard about Jesus for the first time.  We give thanks for all that the Lord is doing for these students.  We are praying for them as they finish the school year and complete their end of year exams.  We are incredibly proud of the teachers and students for their dedication and hard work throughout the school year.

Many blessings,

The Raining Season
