Our staff in Sierra Leone serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to nearly one hundred children at our center every day. Regardless of the circumstances or obstacles that stand in their way, our staff continues to love, serve, and show up. They are the reason we were able to share Zainab’s story of accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior last week. Our staff is the reason Davida was able to share an Easter message with all of TRS’s supporters in April. We are grateful for our staff and everything they do.
Meet Auntie Christiana Mambu. Auntie Christiana has been a part of The Raining Season staff for six years. She serves as a caregiver in the Joyful apartment. Christiana received her high school diploma and also received a certificate in catering. She was raised by her parents in the Moyamba District in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. She is a widow raising four children, two boys and two girls. Two of her children are now married.
As a caregiver in the Joyful apartment, Christiana enjoys serving the children and seeing them grow. She enjoys working for The Raining Season because they focus on caring for the children’s health, furthering their education, and developing their spiritual growth. Like many of our staff members, her vision for TRS is to continue to grow, purchase our own land, and one day build a center that allows us to continue to meet our children’s needs and continue to serve others in Sierra Leone. Part of her vision also includes a secondary school on site that will allow our children to continue to receive a top-notch education.
Thank you, Auntie Christiana, for being a part of The Raining Season staff. You are dedicated, kind, and hardworking. Your dedication to The Raining Season and our children shines in the work you do. We are thankful for you!
Join us in continuing to pray for our caregivers and staff. We are grateful for their dedication and for the positive impact they have on our children.
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
